Prenatal Support

1st prenatal visit 1-1.5 hr

This prenatal visit is to discuss your preferences for labor and birthing. During this visit we will be outlining your desires for labor, delivery, and immediate post-birth care. This can include preferences such as the environment (e.g., home birth or hospital), the types of pain relief you are considering, and who you want present during the birth. We will discuss various pain management options available to you during labor, including medications and natural methods. Understanding the pros and cons of each can help you make informed choices that align with your comfort levels. Before our first prenatal visit I want you to consider discussing the environment in which you would like to labor. Some people prefer a calm, quiet space with minimal interventions. Emergency Situations: It's also beneficial to discuss what your healthcare provider's protocols are in case of emergency situations. Understanding how unexpected scenarios will be managed can help ease some worries and enable you to feel more prepared. We will discuss any concerns and address any nervous thoughts and feelings. It's perfectly natural to have a mix of excitement and nervousness about the upcoming labor and delivery.
